Yu-Gi-Oh!

• In the Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime, if "Ectoplasmer" targets a monster and both players have a monster the same as the targeted one both monsters are Tributed, as shown when Yami Yugi dueled Arkana in Battle City.

• Ectoplasmer's effect could be used more than once per turn, but was not continuous. If the two monsters Tributed were the same card, damage done to either players is negated.

• Yami Bakura used "Ectoplasmer" and Tributed "The Earl of Demise" to defeat Bonz in Battle City. He placed it on the Field Card Zone.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

• This card is used by Jinzo in its Duel against Jaden Yuki in Episode 014 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. The additional effect seen in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime is excluded, making it much more like the real-world counterpart.

Naming

• In the Spanish dub of the Anime, this card was known as "Axoplasma".
