- This card is an upgraded form of both "The Legendary Fisherman" and "The Legendary Fisherman II".
- The fact that this card, the second "Legendary Fisherman" monster, is named the 3rd rather than the 2nd may be explained by the original's anime name: "Sea Stealth II: A Legendary Fisherman". Mako Tsunami uses this name in his Duel against Joey in episode 69[Ref. 1]
