A Kindred Soul?

I'm a big fan of esoteric decks too. I just make new and bizarre decks for fun, in my spare time. And I have comments for each of your decks:

Could you take a look at some of my decks? Runer5h 02:49, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Well, I sort of counter that by rarely playing the same deck twice in a row. In reality, my main decks are Normal Beatdown, a modified Zombie Madness structure deck, Mechanical Hound lockdown (my newest one), a control deck, and (my favorite) a quite modified Invincible Fortress Rock deck. I put in my all-time favorite card: Enraged Muka Muka. It's my favorite because it's searchable with Giant Rat, can get to be incredibly huge, and it basically never lets me down in a duel. It can also turn the deck from a passive-aggressive style into a full-on aggressive deck. Runer5h 03:14, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Adminship?

  • I don't know, really. I didn't even know I had been made admin at first. I've just been here awhile. Danny Lilithborne 01:29, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Yusei's "Warrior" monsters

No, because they're not all Synchro Monsters. They're all monsters with "・ウォリアー" (pronouced "Woriā") in their Japanese name. It is not the same name as the Type. That Warrior is spelled "(せん)()(ぞく)" and pronounced "Senshizoku". The way to distinguish them in English is one is called "Warrior" monsters and the other is called Warrior-Type monsters, similar to how there's a difference between "Toon" monsters and Toon Monsters. -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:52, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Eraser-to-Dark-Ruler

No, I don't intend to bring out both in the same turn. It would basically be impossible. And I think that, with enough negation, Eraser should be able to stay on the field until my turn - especially because I doubt a potential opponent would think that I was trying to make an OTK out of it. (Look at it: must be tribute summoned with 3 tributes, and can grow to astronomical levels. Of all things to expect next, The Dark Ruler would not be one of them.) Runer5h 02:05, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

That could be problematic. I'm banking on my opponent thinking that I'd only destroy it as a last resort, and they're probably not expecting me to use it as a field-clearing mechanism - I'd expect someone to use Demise for that. Runer5h 19:38, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

thanks

Thanks, Messenger, for the post. I'll contact you if I need any help on the site or on my deck. It's good to hear that you prefer Dragon monsters, they're some of my favourites too.

Hi!

Hi, Messenger of the dark. I think you are a good guy! Metagame.com 10:23, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

As you requested...

I'm looking at your deck. Let's see what I find...

Well, from a cursory glance it looks a whole lot like Jack Atlas' deck. Anyways, I think you might need some draw power - you've got 40 cards and exactly two of them allow you to draw. And those two can't even really be activated during your own turn. I'd suggest Magical Mallet as a basic (this is actually a really useful card, and in my opinion is the best non-specific draw spell) and Allure of Darkness as well, if you can get it. Also, see if you can get some more synchros, because right now you're using a not-so-grand total of 4 spots out of the maximum 15. And definitely get Multiple Piece Golem too. Those are my basic thoughts. Runer5h 21:18, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Personally, I think that for specific draw spells, you need twice the amount of card used for it (D-Heroes for Destiny Draw, DARK monsters for Allure) to put the draw spell in. Meanwhile, if you didn't find Multiple Piece Golem useful, then by all means don't put it in. Runer5h 22:56, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Your Remarks

Oh, god, yes. Proof of Powerlessness is an awesome idea. But, unfortunately, GotSAO isn't. There's too much special summoning of high level monsters (Miracle Jurassic Egg, Fossil Excavation, Hunting Instinct) for it to work. I was thinking of side-decking Volcanic Eruption along with Babycerasaurus to ensure that I don't leave myself defenseless on my opponent's turn. Runer5h 01:20, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Friendly Competition

Hey, Messenger. I know you like bizarre deck ideas, so I have a proposition for you. But first..

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Limited_Edition_Pack_15

Look at this article. Please note that it is composed of all the super-powered cards from the anime that we never dared hope would be released.

Now about my proposition: how about we each try to make a deck based around one of these cards? (I'm counting Clear Vice Dragon and Clear World as one card for the purposes of this contest, because they're in the same archetype.) I'd be happy to do so.

If you accept, the rules are as follows:

  1. We have to do different cards. The options are as follows: Orichalcos Shunoros - Guardian Eatos - Darkness Neo-Sphere - Clear World/Clear Vice Dragon.
  2. Once we are in agreement about which card we are doing, we each have until the end of the next day to submit our concept deck to the other.
  3. We then submit the decks to the forums and let the popular vote decide.

What do you think? Runer5h 19:45, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Okay... here's an idea; we each have until the end of Sunday to do our deck. How do you like that? I call Orichalcos Shunoros, by the way. Runer5h 02:04, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

See there for my response. Let's roll - you have 4 days, so get crackin'. Runer5h 03:20, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
