When you set a field card, and your opponent has an active field card, the active field card is not destroyed.

Yes you can, just keep in mind that the the current field card on the field has to be sent ot the graveyard. DracoX 05:40, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

By setting a field spell face down while my opponent has Secret Village of the Spellcasters active, will mine replace theirs? Is it destroyed or sent to the Graveyard?

Field cards have the words "spell card 'symbol'" printed right on them. Are Field cards also considered a continuous spell card?
No. Field Spell cards are not considered Continuous Spells.
