  • Use "Kinka-byo" to bring back your "Majestic Dragon" from your Graveyard and use them with "Stardust Dragon" in order to Summon this card. Combine this combo with Drill Warrior, you've essentially locked your opponent from activiating effects during your turn.
  • Special Summon "Boost Warrior" by its own effect, while controlling "Majestic Dragon", to Synchro Summon this card.
  • Using a "Book of Moon" to Set this monster face-down can prevent it's effect to go back to the Extra Deck. The only backfire to this is that it's only a temporary fix to stall its effect.
  • Use this card with "Skill Drain" to prevent this card from returning to the Extra Deck, while not affecting its first effect, as it involves Tributing itself as an activation cost, thus not being on the field when the effect resolves. The only problem with using "Skill Drain" is that you cannot activate its second effect (using the opponent's effect).
    • Or use "Axe of Fools" to the same purpose (and problem) plus ATK bonus.
  • You can use "G.B. Hunter" to keep this card on the field.
  • You can also use "Forbidden Chalice" to prevent this card from going to the Extra Deck and give it 400 more ATK. If you use it after you battle, this card will be able to stick around for future battles.
  • The most suitable final Synchro Material Monster would probably be "Tuningware" or "Darksea Rescue", since you get to draw a card after the Summon.
  • During your Main Phase 2, banish this card with "Dimensionhole" to use it once more during your next turn.
  • Use effects like "Ectoplasmer" to Tribute this card so it won't have to return to the Extra Deck and to also Special Summon it a bit easier during a later turn.
  • Special Summon this card from the Graveyard via "Wicked Rebirth" so it will not return to the Extra Deck, and you will be able to re-use its first effect, since Tributing this card is the to activate its effect, and it can't be negated by that Trap Card.
  • "Bait Doll" can make your opponent activate a Trap, so you can clear his field.
    • Keep in mind that you cannot chain to a card's forced activation. Your opponent must chain a card of their own in order to use the effect of this card.
  • If you haven't Normal Summoned on this card's Summon turn, and you have already attacked and/or used this card's effect, you can make good use of this card's ATK by Tributing it for "Strong Wind Dragon" for a piercing beatstick of 4300 to use next turn.
    • After this card goes to the grave, you can bring it back with "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon".
  • You can Synchro Summon this card in one turn if your hand contains "Summoner Monk", "Stardust Xiaolong" and "One for One". Normal Summon "Summoner Monk" and use its effect to Special Summon a Level 4 Tuner monster from your Deck. Activate "One for One" and discard "Xiaolong" to Special Summon "Majestic Dragon" from your Deck (or hand). Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon" with "Summoner Monk" and your Level 4 Tuner monster, which will cause "Xiaolong" to be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. Then, Synchro Summon this card.
  • Have "Stardust Xiaolong" on the field with "Debris Dragon", "One for One" and any Level 3 monster in your Graveyard with 500 or less ATK. Activate "One for One" discarding your Level 3 monster for "Majestic Dragon". Normal Summon "Debris" and Special Summon the discarded monster. Tune "Xiaolong", your Level 3 monster, and "Debris" for "Stardust Dragon". "Xiaolong" will be Special Summoned. You now have all material for this card.
    • Alternatively, start with "Debris", "Foolish Burial" and "One for One" in your hand. Also, have "Majestic" and "Dandylion" in your Deck. First play "Foolish Burial" sending "Dandylion" to the Graveyard and Special Summoning 2 Level 1 Tokens. Now use "One for One" to Special Summon "Majestic" from your deck. Then Summon "Debris", Special Summoning "Dandylion". Synchro "Debris", "Dandylion" and 1 Token for "Stardust Dragon", "Dandylion" should also Special Summon 2 more Tokens. Now Synchro Summon this card with "Stardust", "Majestic" and 1 Token. Overall, you should end up with this card and 2 Tokens.
  • Another strategy for one-turn Summon is, "Reinforcement of the Army", "The Tricky", "Stardust Xiaolong", "Junk Synchron", "Foolish Burial". Activate "Reinforcement of the Army" and "Foolish Burial" to get "Junk Synchron" to your hand and dump "Majestic Dragon". Special Summon "Tricky" by discarding "Xiaolong". Summon "Junk" and Special Summon "Majestic". Tune "Tricky" and "Junk" for "Stardust Dragon" and Special Summon "Xiaolong" by its own effect, then Synchro Summon this card.
  • Use "Starlight Road" to get your "Stardust Dragon" out faster than usual making it easier to get the other two monsters on the field possibly with "Double Summon".
    • Summon "Majestic Dragon" and your Level 1 non-Tuner however way you want, then activate "Torrential Tribute" so that you can chain "Starlight Road" to Summon "Stardust".
  • Yet another one turn Summon is with "Debris Dragon", "Stardust Xiaolong", "One for One", "Foolish Burial" and "Machine Duplication" in hand with three "Tuningware" in Deck. First activate "Foolish Burial" sending a "Tuningware" to the Graveyard then activate "One for One" discarding "Xiaolong", and Special Summon "Majestic Dragon". Then Normal Summon "Debris", Special Summoning "Tuningware" by its effect, and activate "Machine Duplication" targeting the "Tuningware" and Special Summoning the other two from the Deck. Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon" with the "Debris" and all three "Tuningwares", drawing 3 cards, and Special Summoning "Xiaolong" by its own effect. Now Synchro Summon this card.
    • It will be easier to Summon this card with that strategy by tuning "Debris" with the 2 "Tuningwares" that did not have their effects negated, treating them both as Level 2 while doing so of course. This way the third "Tuningware" can act as the level 1 non-Tuner for the second Synchro Summmon, eliminating the need for "Xiaolong".
  • Use "Level Eater" to make "Stardust Dragon" a Level 7, then Summon "Majestic Dragon" and Special Summon "Quillbolt Hedgehog" from your Graveyard and tune "Stardust", "Majestic" and "Quillbolt"/"Level Eater".
  • With "Stardust Dragon" and "Lord of D." on the field and "The Flute of Summoning Dragon", "Stardust Xiaolong" and "Majestic Dragon" in your hand, you can use "Flute of Summoning Dragon" to Special Summon "Xiaolong" and "Majestic". Synchro Summon this card.
  • Special Summon "Cyber Dragon" from your hand by its own effect. Normal Summon "Junk Synchron", and use its effect to Special Summon a "Majestic Dragon" from your Graveyard. Tune "Junk" and "Cyber Dragon" into "Stardust Dragon". Then Special Summon a "Xiaolong" from your Graveyard. Finally, Synchro Summon this card.
  • This card can be very useful in a Hopeless Dragon Deck by having "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", Synchro Summon this card using "Treeborn Frog" then you can use the effect of this card to defend your monsters. If you Tribute it for its effect you can bring it back with "Red-Eyes". If it returns to the Extra Deck during the End Phase you will get a "Stardust Dragon" in which case Special Summon "Treeborn" during your next turn and use the effect of "Red-Eyes" to bring back "Majestic" and Synchro Summon again.
  • You can use "The Creator" to continuously re-Summon this card, Summoning "Majestic Dragon" plus the other monster (preferably "Stardust Xiaolong" due to its destruction negation effect) via the "Creator", while using "Stardust Dragon" to protect "Creator" from card effects.
  • Combine this card with "Drill Warrior" and "Dandylion" to make returning this monster to the Extra Deck not so much of a drawback, as he can be re-summoned easily in future turns, by continuously dumping "Dandylion" to keep Summoning "Fluff Tokens" and returning "Majestic Dragon" to hand in order to Synchro Summon and retrieve this card. This way, you can possibly Summon this card on your next 2 turns, and then resupply Tokens for the third turn, thus keeping him in play for 2 out of every 3 of your future turns. If you can manage to get two "Drill Warriors" to the field, then you create an endless cycle of Summoning this card every turn, so long as you pay attention to monster card zone limit.
    • Combine above strategy with "Scrubbed Raid" to use Tokens as fodder while setting up combo and/or protection from attacks.
  • A endless Synchro Loop is possible with "Drill Warrior", "Stardust Dragon" and "Majestic Dragon" on the field with a way of having "Level Eater" in the Graveyard and one card in your hand by the Main Phase 2. Once all cards are in place, reduce the Level of "Drill" to Special Summon "Level Eater" and perform the Synchro Summon, then before the End Phase, banish "Drill" by its effect to lock in the loop. During your Standby Phase, Special Summon "Drill" back with its original Level to return "Majestic" to your hand and Normal Summon it, simply repeat the effect of "Level Eater" and perform the Synchro Summon again.
    • Another endless Synchro Loop is posible with "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", "Stardust Dragon", "Majestic Dragon" and "Level Eater". First having "Red-Eyes" and "Stardust" on field, next with "Red-Eyes" Summon "Majestic" from Graveyard or hand, then reduce "Red-Eyes" Level to Summon "Level Eater" from the Graveyard (or Normal Summon from hand), Synchro Summon this card and reduce its Level to Summon "Level Eater" (to preserve high the level of "Red-Eyes"). Repeat next turn or Summon this card from the Graveyard if you use it effect the previous one.
  • Combine this card with "Masked HERO Dark Law" to banish all cards your opponent controls while not affecting yours
    • In the TCG, due to what seems to be a mistake not found in the OCG, if Stardust Dragon is not in the graveyard Majestic Star Dragon will not be sent back to the extra deck due to the need to target a Stardust Dragon in the grave first. This means that bringing Stardust Dragon back to the extra deck using a card like Monster Reincarnation will stop Majestic Star Dragon from returning to the extra deck
