ive been wondering, is it possible to negate the activation of an effect monsters effect to stop their own special summoning such as faultroll special summoning its self with its own inherent special summon, the can your opponent respond with war chariot or devine wrath? or is it not possible because it does not start a chain? — This unsigned comment was made by 75.108.119.31 (talkcontribs) 18:48, June 3, 2010

I do not believe so. I think those are Summoning Conditions instead of effects. However, if a card Special Summons itself, you may use Solemn Judgement, Horn of Heaven, Black Horn of Heaven, Forced Back, and so on to negate the summon itself. But no, Divine Wrath will not work. What he said. If a card Summons itself by an inherent Summoning Condition, then you can only use stuff like "Horn of Heaven". You can't use "Divine Wrath", since a Summoning Condition doesn't start a Chain Link. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 01:10, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
