Card Rulings talk:Icarus Attack

I was wondering if chess Archfiends dice roll effect can be activated if they are targeted for icarus, since i saw that since de dice roll activates when the card resolves then it can even activate it for counter traps (Ring of Destruction) since that doesnt resolve as a chain. :/ im kinda confused about it.
