is sending 2 of my opponents face up defense position monsters to the grave before the special summon of my "mother spider" part of a summoning condition, or part of an effect?—This unsigned comment was made by 173.172.80.94 (talk • contribs) 00:53, 2011 July 25

excellent. so, regardless if my "mother spider"'s special summon is negated by a card like "solemn warning" etc.. the 2 face up defense position monsters are sent to the grave regardless, much as "lava golem" would still tribute my opponents 2 monsters if its summon was negated. or would it?
