- This card has 6 counterparts: "Monster Reincarnation", "Miraculous Rebirth", "Symbol of Heritage", "Symbols of Duty" "Xyz Reborn" and "Reincarnation Dragon Samsara".
- This card was Forbidden for seven formats before becoming Limited once more, which was the most of any card before "Dark Hole", "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", "Tsukuyomi", "Magician of Faith" (in the TCG), and "Cyber-Stein" (in the OCG) surpassed it with nine, twelve, thirteen, and sixteen, respectively.
- "Call of the Grave" and "Call of Darkness" specifically counter this card. As a result, "Monster Reborn" is the only Yu-Gi-Oh! card with 2 counter-cards mentioning it by name.
