Card Trivia:Monster Reborn
Revision as of 14:17, 7 May 2014 by ArcadiasScholarly (talk)
- This card has five counterparts: "Monster Reincarnation", "Miraculous Rebirth", "Symbol of Heritage", "Symbols of Duty" and "Xyz Reborn".
- This card was Forbidden for seven formats before becoming Limited once more, the longest duration of any card before "Dark Hole", "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", "Tsukuyomi", "Magician of Faith" (in the TCG), and "Cyber-Stein" (in the OCG) surpassed it with nine, twelve, thirteen, and sixteen, respectively.
- "Call of the Grave" and "Call of Darkness" specifically counter this card. As a result, "Monster Reborn" is the only Yu-Gi-Oh! card with 2 counter-cards mentioning it by name.
- The "Ankh" "Monster Reborn" (with the Japanese artwork) can be seen in the "Tablet of Lost Memories" on Priest Seto's side.
- The Japanese artwork of this card is similar to the item Blessed Ankh from Konami's Castlevania games.
- This card has an anime-only counterpart effect-wise, "Rebirth Tablet"; both cards also feature an ankh on their artworks (albeit this card only does in its Japanese artwork.)
- This is the first Spell Card used in the original series, and the most used card by all characters, surpassing the "Polymerization" card; it was used in every Yu-Gi-Oh! series except Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and so far, Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.
