  • "Call of the Grave" and "Call of Darkness" specifically counter this card. As a result, "Monster Reborn" is the only Yu-Gi-Oh! card with 2 counter-cards mentioning it by name.
  • The "Ankh", also known as Key of Life, is the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "life" and it represents the concept of eternal life, which reflects this card's effect.
  • This card was initially one of the most used cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! media, although it slowly began to lose its spotlight due to it's real-life Forbidden status. It appears in most Duels of the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, and was a common card in GX. It then disappeared completely in 5D's, but rose again as one of Yuma's signature cards in Zexal. It currently has some usage in ARC-V starting with the Friendship Cup arc. This puts "Monster Reborn" behind "Mystical Space Typhoon" and "Polymerization" as the cards with the most appearances in different anime shows.
  • Yusei Fudo is the only protagonist who has not used this card in his deck at any point.
