Burn

Burn reffers to cards that do direct damage to an opponent, as opposed to battle damage.

Burn Decks usually combine Stall cards along with Direct Damage cards. The monster cards used in a burn deck will either stall an opponent's attacks (Such as Spirit Reaper or Battle Footballer) or do direct damage themselves (Such as Des Koala or Marshmallon).

Many players frown on a "Burn Deck", seeing them as a cheap way to earn a win. These decks generally rely heavily on Spell and Trap Cards, so cards like Royal Decree, Jinzo and Spell Canceller can be very effective against them, as well as generic removal, such as Heavy Storm, Mystical Space Typhoon and Twister.
