- This card can be searched by "Rogue of Endymion", "Watch Cat", "Watch Dog", "The Despair Uranus", and other generic searchers.
- This card works great with "Malice Doll of Demise".
- Monsters that flip themselves face-down such as "Stealth Bird" and "Golem Sentry" can avoid being tributed.
- Monsters that are unaffected by Spell Cards (such as "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6") and ones that cannot be tributed (such as "Eater of Millions" and "Diabolos, King of the Abyss") are useful to keep field presence while under this card's effect.
- Use this card with monsters like "Majestic Mech - Ohka" or "Mist Archfiend" to tribute them for additional damage, as their drawbacks would have disposed of them anyway.
- "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" returns to the hand upon being tributed by "Ectoplasmer". Using it alongside "Call of the Mummy" guarantees 1200 damage each turn while keeping your Normal Summon intact.
- Cards like "Il Blud", "Gigaplant", "Doom Shaman" and "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" can continuously summon monsters each turn to tribute.
- Spirit monsters can be returned to your hand before they are tributed.
- "Heroic Challenger - Thousand Blades" can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard upon taking damage to soften attacks or to be tributed.

- Take control of your opponent's monsters with "Brain Control", "Enemy Controller", "Jowls of Dark Demise", etc, and tribute them to damage your opponent while not letting them get their monsters back.
