  • This card is commonly used in Decks that aim to draw all their cards in a single turn. Therefore, it works well with Spells that easily replace themselves with another card, such as "Chicken Game", "Into the Void", and "Upstart Goblin".
    • "Broken Bamboo Sword", "Cursed Bamboo Sword", "Golden Bamboo Sword", and "Original Bamboo Sword" can be very useful, as "Golden Bamboo Sword" draws 2 cards and "Cursed Bamboo Sword" can both return another "Bamboo Sword" Equip Spell from the field to the hand (allowing a re-activation and thus another Spell Counter) and search for a differently-named "Bamboo Sword" when it is sent to the Graveyard. However, they can be useless if there is no monster on the field for a "Bamboo Sword" Equip Spell to equip to.
      • "Foolish Burial Goods" can send "Cursed Bamboo Sword" from the Deck to the Graveyard, in order to trigger its effect and search for an appropriate "Bamboo Sword" card.
      • "Magical Stone Excavation" requires discarding 2 cards to add 1 Spell Card from the Graveyard to the hand - notably "Golden Bamboo Sword". While "Excavation" tends to be less useful with fewer cards in the hand, the discarding is a potential way to trigger the effect of "Broken Bamboo Sword". Furthermore, "Excavation" can be used to recover any Spell Card, not just "Golden Bamboo Sword".
      • "Tool Box" can facilitate this engine by searching for a random "Bamboo Sword" card, but requires controlling a monster to use its effect. While its effect can be useless if there aren't 2 different Equip Spells in the Deck, the card can still be activated to generate a Spell Counter for "Royal Magical Library" - and it can still be possible to shuffle back a different Equip Spell from the hand (with something like "Magical Mallet") to enable its effect.
    • "Card of Fate" is a possible option, but it cannot be activated if either player's Deck has fewer than 5 cards, and it also grants the opponent a random card from their Deck.
    • "Chicken Game" can be supplemented with "Pseudo Space", a Field Spell that can copy the former's effects by banishing it from the Graveyard. However, if "Pseudo Space" is drawn without a "Chicken Game" on the field or in the Graveyard (a risk that increases with the number of "Pseudo Space" used in the Deck), it will be useless, although it can still be activated to gain a Spell Counter for "Royal Magical Library".
    • "Contract with Don Thousand" is a possible option, but has the downsides of allowing the opponent to draw 1 card and view the player's hand (which can allow for more precise interruption from the opponent), as well as preventing Normal Summons while the player is holding a revealed Spell Card (which can be troublesome if "Royal Magical Library" isn't on the field yet).
    • "Cup of Ace" can be a risky card, but its downside can be somewhat offset by the Spell Counter it generates for "Royal Magical Library".
    • "Extra-Foolish Burial" is a LP-halving option, being able to send "Garura, Wings of Resonant Life" from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard for that monster's effect to activate and draw 1 card, but at the cost of being unable to Set any cards during the turn it's activated.
    • Cards such as "Gold Moon Coin", "Magical Mallet", "Performapal Popperup", and "Reload" are possible options that don't technically replace themselves, but do allow further drawing. Their main weakness is that they tend to be less useful with fewer cards in-hand.
    • "Pot of Duality" is another option, but at the cost of being unable to Special Summon during the turn it's activated.
    • "Spell Power Grasp" can be useful for searching for another copy of itself, while adding an extra Spell Counter to "Royal Magical Library". However, it cannot be activated unless there's a valid card on the field to place a Spell Counter on, and it can become useless if all copies of "Spell Power Grasp" are prematurely drawn (with nothing for its effect to add).
    • "Toon Table of Contents" is a good enabler, being able to search for other copies of itself, before searching for "Toon World" (or "Toon Bookmark", which can then search for "Toon World"). The only downside is the possibility of multiple copies being prematurely drawn into the hand (and/or "Toon Bookmark"/"Toon World"), therefore rendering the extra card(s) useless.
    • "Top Share" does not add any card to the hand, but allows the player to choose 1 card from their Deck and place it on top of their Deck. This can be powerful when combined with a drawing effect (including that of "Royal Magical Library"), but "Top Share" comes with the cost of allowing the opponent to do the same with their Deck - something that becomes riskier when using other Spell Cards that allow both players to draw a card.
  • When using this monster in a Deck, it is usually with the maximum of 3 copies, in order to increase the odds of drawing into it as early as possible. Therefore, it is inevitable to draw into the 2nd and 3rd copies at some point during the Duel. With this in mind, Spell Cards such as "Double Summon" and "Trismagistus" can be used in order to Summon those additional copies and benefit from their effects too, while also generating a Spell Counter from those Spell Cards' activations.
