- As with the other Dark World monsters, Celri's name is based on a color, in this case, cerulean, a bright shade of blue. Accordingly, a better translation of his name might be "Ceruli".
- The only difference between this card's OCG and anime effect is this card's has to be discarded from your hand to the Graveyard by a card effect in the OCG while in the anime it can be discarded from anywhere by a card effect to the Graveyard, and that it has to be Special Summoned by a "Dark World" effect to trigger.
- This is the only "Dark World" anime monster that took time to finally be released into the card game
