A Riding Duel is the type of dueling performed on D-Wheel motorcycles in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. This duel type can be activated without the acceptance of both players. To perform a Riding Duel, at least one of both players has to activate Speed World. The other player's card will be activated then automatically.

It's a unique Field Spell Card, which disallows the activation of any normal Spell Card. Only one type of the Spell Cards is still allowed: Cards with "Speed Spell" in their names. To activate a Speed Spell, you have to pay one or more Speed Counters. Below, there's a list of the costs for each card:

1 Speed Counter allows the activation of Normal Spells
2 Speed Counters allows the activation of Countious Spell Cards
3 Speed Counters allows the activation of Quick Spells

At the beginning of each turn, your Speed Counters are increased by one. Also, there are some other cards which decrease your Speed Counters or increase them. And some cards even make you unable to get Speed Counters.
