A Riding Duel is a type of Dueling performed using "D-Wheel" motorcycles in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. This type of Duel can be activated without the consent of the opponent. To perform a Riding Duel, at least one player has to activate "Speed World". The other player's "Speed World" card will then be automatically activated.

"Speed World" is a unique Field Spell Card, which prevents the activation of any Spell Cards, apart from "Speed Spell" Spell Cards.

To activate a "Speed Spell" Spell Card, you have to pay one or more "Speed Counters", which accumulate on "Speed World" during each of your Standby Phases. Here is a list of the cost(s) shown so far that are needed needed to activate specific types of "Speed Spell" Spell Cards:

During each of your Standby Phases, 1 Speed Counter is placed on "Speed World". Also, there are cards which can either decrease or increase the number of Speed Counters on a "Speed World" either player controls. There are even cards that can even prevent a "Speed World" of either player from accumulating Speed Counters.
