Saiga is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
Saiga is a store owner in Neo Domino and a friend of Jin Himuro. Years before the current storyline, Saiga's best friend, Kyuji, who was severely injured in a D-Wheel crash. The only remaining memento of his friend is Kyuji's scorched "Machiners Sniper" card from the crash. Ironically, Kyuji could have escaped unscathed, but he went back in for the "Machiners Sniper" and was badly burned. This incident caused Saiga to develop a grim outlook on Duel Monsters and on friendship in general.
Following Himuro's instructions, Yusei Fudo seeks Saiga's help in recovering his D-Wheel and deck from the Securities. Saiga ridicules him for planning to sneak into the Security's storage to steal it back, by telling him it's the same as getting caught.
After Yusei assures Saiga that Kyuji has no aversion to Saiga after that day, he returns the favor by stalling Tetsu Ushio after Ushio chases Yusei following Yusei's break-in. Saiga manages to avoid capture, and later springs Himuro and Yanagi from prison to prepare for the Fortune Cup.
