- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Last Will", "Witch of the Black Forest", "Flying Kamakiri #1", "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" and "Crystal Beacon".
- Cobalt Eagle is the worst Crystal Beast, as it has low attack and it's effect is bad (it causes you to lose one draw which is a really high price for an effect which is rarely even useful). because of it and Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat many people choose not to put Rainbow Dragon in their decks, and the ones that do put rainbow usually put one of each one, and bring them as soon as possible with cards like Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus and Crystal Release.
- However cobalt eagle's effect can rarely be useful, and can be used to return Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus to the top to recycle it's effect. However as it wastes your draw, you should only use it if you really need another crystal beast in your back row.
- Also in the rare case where you have full monster cards zone and want to summon Rainbow Dragon, you can use eagle's effect to return one monster to the top.
- while you have this card in your speel and trap card zone, you can active this effect to retur it to the top,to active crystal abundance.
