Local names with no English alternative
Giving information in another language, without also including an English alternative, I think is something we should almost never do.
e.g. the image captions in this gallery are good. But the part at the top that says L'Assaut du Gladiateur doesn't give an alternative. Is it obvious enough that it's the local name of the one used in the page name or should we put the English name above it?
Although three lines might be a tad too long for the title. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:29, November 10, 2015 (UTC)
- I've noticed this too; note that the link breaks whenever a set page doesn't have the name in the language in question, which is another argument in favor of displaying both the English and local name. Overall, I think the argument from consistency (we show both in the image captions on the galleries, as well as in such places as the set lists on the cards themselves) is very strong here, and one additional line I don't think is really much of a burden compared to that and the link breakage that sometimes happens. 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:36, November 10, 2015 (UTC)
New changes to Set Card Lists
I've been away for some days and I see you've made some changes. You now have a {{ subst:#vardefineecho: $card | Card Name }}
after the second |-
(line 27). Any particular reason for it to be a #vardefineecho
instead of a #vardefine
? Is it just to facilitate the reading of the code later or something like that? Becasita Pendulum (talk • contribs) 13:12, July 19, 2016 (UTC)
- Nah, it's because I'm a dum and have no idea what I'm doing. D= 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 17:07, July 19, 2016 (UTC)
