Deceiving Yugi, Alexander had them go through the Capsule Monsters trials so as to unlock the power he could not thousands of years before. When the trials were finished, Alexander raced to the room containing the power. Though Yugi and his friends protested, Shadi appeared and revealed that Alexander ''did'' have a rightful claim to the power, having completed the trials long ago. However, Shadi allowed Yugi to challenge Alexander for the right to the power.
Alexander then called forth the spirits of his lost vassals to to do battle. Though he simply sacrificed their monster so to power his [[Seven-Armed Fiend]] and Reshef. He saw them as merely tools for his own gain. Eventually, Yugi defeated Alexander using the Armor of Unity, and Alexander's dark spirit was destroyed, and his good half happily passes on.
