Their names include "Amazoness", with the exception of "[[Amazon Archer]]", which in [[Gold Series 3]] was changed to "[[Amazoness Archer]]". Although "[[The Unfriendly Amazon]]" is similar in name, it is not considered an "Amazoness". All monsters of this archetype are [[Warrior]]-[[Type]]s (except "[[Amazoness Tiger]]" and , "[[Amazoness Pet Baby Tiger]]", and "[[Amazoness Pet Liger]]", who are [[Beast]]-Type monsters instead).
[[Mai Valentine]], [[Tania]], and the [[Gloria Tyler|Tyler]] [[Grace Tyler|sisters]] have used "Amazoness" cards in the anime. These monsters are based on the [[wikipedia:Amazons|Amazons]] from Greek mythology.
