Asian-English cards are cards printed in English for distribution in Asia outside of Japan and Korea.<!-- this needs to be confirmed with official sources --> They are distinguished from English cards printed for English regions mainly by the unique Yu-Gi-Oh! logo on the cards' backings and set packaging (until Enemy of Justice), and the region identifier "AE" in their Card Number (from Invasion of Chaos onwards). These cards are only legal in Asia outside of Japan and Korea<!-- this also needs confirmed -->; they are not legal anywhere else.citation needed
Proper Asian-English sets were preceded by two cards ("Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Dark Magician") that were printed in 2001 with direct translations of their Japanese names and flavor texts instead of the TCG ones, in the same font as Japanese. The cards that came after them are almost identical to TCG English ones, besides the aforementioned differences and being printed on the same card stock as Japanese cards, making them stiffer.
