• This card can be searched via "Dark Sage", "Ancient Gear Drill", "Alchemic Magician", "Angmarl the Fiendish Monarch", "Left Arm Offering", "Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu", "Hidden Armory", "Power Tool Dragon", "Vylon Cube", "Vylon Delta", "Vylon Sigma" and "Fairy Tail - Cinderella".

• Equip this card to "Inferno". That way you can inflict damage with the effect of "Inferno".

• Equip this card to a monster that deals Piercing damage.

• Equip "Big Bang Shot" to the same monster that you equip this card to.

• This card can be particularly useful when combined with an effect to force the opponent's monster(s) into face-down defense position, such as "Swords of Concealing Light", "Book of Eclipse" or "Book of Moon".

• A good card to equip this card to would be "Blackwing Armed Wing".

• Chain this card to Big Bang Shot and "8-Claws Scorpion" to allow it to deal Piercing damage when attacking monsters with a DEF higher than 2400.

• Flip your "Tsukuyomi" face-up and flip one of your opponent's monsters into face-down Defense Position; then, tribute "Tsukuyomi" and another monster to Normal Summon "Ancient Gear Golem", equip it to this card and attack. This combo will deal up to 4500 damage to your opponent.
  • You can also use "Limiter Removal" and deal a 7500 damage.
    • Do the strategy above using "Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem" and this combo will probably do an OTK, by dealing up to 10300 damage.
      • You can also activate "Ancient Gear Explosive" and deliver an 2200 damage, besides the 10300 one.
        • Due this combo's high probability of making an OTK, its useful to negate cards like "Bottomless Trap Hole", "Torrential Tribute", etc, with "Trap Stun" or "Royal Decree".
