- This card can be searched by "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk", "Dragunity Corsesca", "UFO Turtle", "Machina Armored Unit", "UFOroid" and "Gear Gigant X".
- This card is a great option in a machine deck, you can protect your monster cards is a great combo with "Victory Viper XX03" and "Dark Catapulter".
- Keep in mind that you CANNOT protect this card with equip cards, as it will negate them, unless it's switched to Defense position. However, it can still get a boost from non-targeting effects such as "Molten Destruction" and "Limiter Removal".
- A great way to boost this card's ATK is with "Rope of Life". Since "Rope of Life" targets a card in the Graveyard and not the field, it will give you a 2000-ATK Beatstick, an insurance policy for your Machines and an extra draw should "Cyber Phoenix" be destroyed again.
- Combine this cards destruction with "Defense Draw" for two cards and no damage.
