- Kogarashi is a cold, withering wind that occurs in the early season of winter in Japan.
- This is the second high-Level "Blackwing" Tuner, the first being "Blackwing - Hiren the Sudden Gust".
- This card is currently the only Level 6 Tuner.
- This is also the first Tuner that your opponent can use as Synchro Material.
- However, this effect only exists in the anime. The OCG version had this effect removed.
- This is the second strongest non-Synchro "Blackwing" monster.
- This card's first effect is similar to the Meklords, though this card can only be Special Summoned if its a Blackwing that is destroyed by a card effect.
