- This monster appears in the artwork of "Spellbook of Judgment" and "Spellbook of Miracles".
- This card is based on the Tarot card, The Empress, the third of the Major Arcana cards.
- This card's Japanese name, Tris, is from the French word for empress, impératrice.
- The Shield that she is holding might be a reference to the heart-shaped stone on the Tarot card The Empress from the Rider-Waite tarot deck.
- This could be proved by the orbs on Empress' shield, which also seem to form the Venus symbol, which is also depicted on that stone.
- This card acts as a counterpart to "Hierophant of Prophecy," as this card destroys monsters while "Hierophant" destroys Spell/Trap Cards.
- This monsters sceptor bears a resemblance to the Emperor's Key.
- Both this card, "Emperor of Prophecy" and "Hierophant of Prophecy" appear to possess items that resemble the Emperor's Key.
- If you noticed, these 3 cards look to be in a same "room". Both "Empress" and "Emperor" throne are facing each other, while "Hierophant's" throne is between them.
- Both this card, "Emperor of Prophecy" and "Hierophant of Prophecy" appear to possess items that resemble the Emperor's Key.
