• "Grinder Golem" first effect is the same as Lava Golem's (but Grinder Golem requires no tributes). Also both are Fiends and include "Golem" in their name.

• In the anime, this card did not include the restriction of preventing you from summoning in the same turn. Additionally, it was kept it's original name (Torch Golem) in the dub.

• This card appears to be a Machine, but it is actually a Fiend

• this card looks similiar to regigigas from pokemon
