• A Gryphon is a legendary Greek creature with the head, talons, and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion, as pictured on the card.

• This card has been rendered useless in the Advanced Format, due to the banning of "Harpie's Feather Duster".

• There is also a card called "Gryphon's Feather Duster". Coupled with the effect of this card in negating "Harpie's Feather Duster", it would seem that the Gryphon is an enemy of Harpies.

• This card mirrors "Anti Raigeki", "White Hole" and "Jar Robber" in that all were issued to counter one specific card, each of which were eventually Limited or Forbidden.
