Card Trivia:Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8
- This is the cover card from Soul of the Duelist and Dark Revelation 3 (right).
- In Egyptian mythology, Horus was the god of the sky and the son of Osiris and Isis. The sun and moon were believed to be his eyes. He was sometimes known as Khemwar, meaning 'the great black one'.
- "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" has a DARK counterpart "Dark Horus".
- "Sorcerer of Dark Magic" is the trap counter part.
- "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" appears in the Artwork of "Level Up!"
- This card closely resembles "The Winged Dragon of Ra". This makes sense since in Egyptian mythology Ra and Horus are often considered to be one and the same.
- This card shares a similar design with "The Creator" and "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys".
