  • In Japanese, the number 9 can be read as "ku" and 6 as "ro"; together, it reads kuro, the Japanese word for black, which makes sense for the monster called "Black Mist".
  • This is the highest numbered "Numbers" monster yet.
  • This is the first Fiend-Type "Numbers" monster along being the first Rank 2 "Numbers" monster.
  • This card has the second-lowest ATK out of all the "Numbers".
  • This is the first "Numbers" monster to require a specific kind of Xyz Materials (DARK).
  • The number 96 is on its head while its face is on its torso.
  • This card's sealed form is a blob of black slime that flickers like a flame.
  • According to Astral, this "Number" is different to the others. It's first shown as a weak monster with no power that was defeated easily, but when it was near Astral it became a powerful monster that temporary took control of Astral in an attempt to take over Yuma's "Numbers" and claimed itself to be "The strongest Number". It is also the first "Number" shown to be fully alive and capable of thinking. "Galaxy Queen" was the first "Numbers" to speak in words though.
    • It is possible that the higher a "Numbers"' number is, the more intelligent they become.
  • This is the second "Numbers" monsters whose both sealed and unsealed forms were not rendered in 3D graphics, the first being "Number 83: Galaxy Queen".
  • This monster's effect is somewhat like "the wcked avatar" 's effect. Similarly, "the wicked avatar" also made a dark side of Gekkou in yuigoh R, as with astral in yugiohzexal epsidoe 20
