- This was 1 of 3 cards designed by fans in the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Design Your Destiny Card Contest" held by Upper Deck Entertainment and 4Kids that were made as real cards for Gladiator's Assault. The other 2 cards were "Dragon Ice" and "Skreech".
- Only the artworks were submitted, and nothing else, as confirmed in a post by Jerome McHale.
- This card was the winner of the 3-7 age division in that contest. Its artist was Shamus B. of Farmington, New York.
- This card is the first TCG exclusive card to be used in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. It would later be followed by "Battlestorm", "Grapple Blocker" and "Wind-Up Zenmaines".
