- This card is named after the Tower of Babel, which in the Biblical book of Genesis was a tower built in Babylon as an attempt to reach Heaven. However, God was upset by this, and so caused the tower to collapse, then divided up the people and spread them throughout the world, thus causing different languages and cultures in the process.
- Others believe that the Tower of Babel may have been a step pyramid with a temple to the Babylonian god Moloch at the top.
