• It's name is also derived from the sound effect used in Japanese anime and manga "zuba" which is used to represent something being cut or sliced with a single blow. This is probably reflected in the card's use of swords.

• This card's effect is identical to "Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke".

• This card was the first monster played by Yuma Tsukumo. While all the first monsters played by the main protagonists of the previous "Yu-Gi-Oh" anime series are WIND monsters, "Zubaba Knight" becomes the first exception as its Attribute is EARTH instead. It does follow a pattern of Warrior type being the first type of monsters used by the main protagonists, with Yugi/Yami being the only exception.
  • Just as Yuma's "Gagaga Magician" can be comparable to Yugi's "Dark Magician", this card can be comparable to "Buster Blader". Both have the same type and attribute, and both have 1000 less attack points than their respective counterparts.

• This card appears in the artwork of "United Front".

• Despite having multiple appearances, this card and "Ganbara Knight" have not even used their effects once.
