Roba used "psychic powers" to predict his opponent's cards. His powers were actually his little brothers using binoculars to spy on his opponent's cards from rooftops. They would then relay the cards to Espa through a micropiece. The trick continued until Joey Wheeler found out after Mokuba Kaiba caught his brothers.
