can someone tell me if before activating gateway to dark world i can summon then activate it or if i summon i cant activate it?

if you normal summon, flip summon, or special summon a monster this turn, you cannot activate Gateway to Dark World. If you activate Gateway to the Dark World, you cannot summon any monster this turn(except the special summoned monster), but you can Set a monster. Cybertwin 05:40, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
so if i activate gateway to dark world i can only set a monster in face down defense position and not summon, and if i summon a monster before i activate it, i cant activate it, is this right? but i can still activate it at my opponents turn and then i can summon a monster during my next turn right
