There's another month and 10 days until November 2013, and the OCG will have a banlist update by then. The TCG and OCG lists will have to agree with one another for worlds next year, but there are some parts about the OCG list that I think should match the TCG list, and vise versa. Here's what I think should match: Banned:

  • Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier - This card should not have come back.
  • Monster Reborn - This is one part about the TCG banlist I can agree with, and the OCG should do it too.
  • Pot of Avarice - Knowing Pot of Duplicity came out, this made sense for the TCG, and it should for the OCG too.
  • Gateway of the Six - This also makes sense, I think it should go to 0 for the OCG just like it did the TCG.
  • Ultimate Offering - Same as Gateway.

Limited:

  • Atlantean Dragoons - This and Teus are the key problems; Sphere didn't deserve it.
  • Wind-Up Magician - There was no need to switch this and Shark.
  • Rescue Rabbit - Another part of the TCG list I agree with, the OCG should do this too.
  • Eradicator Epidemic Virus - Although this might have sounded unnecessary at first, it actually makes sense if you look at it from the right perspective. I could even see this banned at some point in the future.

Semi-Limited:

  • Plaguespreader and/or Mezuki - Zombies haven't done much lately, I don't see why the OCG can't do it too.
  • T.G. Striker - Again, agreed with the TCG on this one.

Unlimited:

  • Wind-Up Shark - See Magician.
  • The Agent of Mystery - Earth - See T.G. Striker.
  • Magical Stone Excavation - Still don't know why it's semi'd when no one even runs it.
  • Divine Wind of Mist Valley - Only Birdman needs to be hit to stop Harpie FTK.
  • Abyss-sphere - Wasn't the main problem.

There might be a few other cards from the OCG that could match the TCG list, but I doubt the generic backrow, grave-stoppers, and Heavy will be hit in the OCG. They should just come back for the TCG. Anyone have comments or their own predictions? Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 17:52, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

I think the OCG could ban Heavy and hit the Generic traps as well. Let's face it, Heavy Storm is basically another win-button card, especially when the opponent sets 3-4 cards in hopes of stalling the opponent. Other than that, the rest is probably fine, although Trish might not hurt too much. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:04, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Heavy and the Generic backrow were fine where they were, in my opinion; also the Grave-stoppers (Fissure, Macro, and Soul Drain), didn't need to go to 1 each. I could agree with 2 of each, but limiting them nearly kills the entire point of side-decking against certain decks. I also forgot one thing -- I think 1 Dragoons and 1 Teus is good for Mermails, instead of 1 Teus and 1 Sphere. Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 22:37, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
