Seaching for this question presents all answers on Superheavy Samurai monsters and what they can do. What I am asking is the opposite. What can and does my monster do to a Superheavy Samurai monster in the duel?

I attack a Defense position Superheavy Samurai Blue Brawler, Lev 4, ATK/0, DEF/2000, with my Gem-Knight Pearl, Xyz monster, ATK/2600,DEF/1900. So does my 2600 attack against the Superheavy's 2000 defense produce 600 damage to my opponent, or not? (I know that Superheavy Samurai Blue Brawler remains on the field, text: When t his card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can change it's battle position. Cannot be destroyed by battle.").

Thanks for reply. Charlessboyerjr1 (talkcontribs) 23:55, December 17, 2014 (UTC)

No, your monster doesn't have effect to inflict Piercing damage.-- (talkcontribs) 00:15, December 18, 2014 (UTC)

So we treat the Superheavy Samurai just exactly like a DEfense position monster in all ways? So no way to get attack points in on a Superheavy unless it's 'attack opponent directly' points, or destroy the card with a card effect Spell/Trap. ??Charlessboyerjr1 (talkcontribs) 12:58, December 18, 2014 (UTC)

They are protected by their effect. You want to overpower them without using any effect?-- (talkcontribs) 13:46, December 18, 2014 (UTC)

They are protected by their effect. I understand, ok, about this particular Superheavy, but what about other Superheavy's who don't have the effect 'can not be destroyed by battle'? Can they then be destroyed if my attaking monsters' atk total is higher than their defense total? (thanks for the answers, I'm getting it piece by piece). I like them I likek to play them, just collecting the rules. You know the rules only talk about when they attack, not when they're attacked. Yes, they can be destroyed if the attacking monster's ATK is higher than their DEF. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:39, December 19, 2014 (UTC)
Superheavy Samurai are a little tricky until you understand them. While they are in Defense and they get attacked, it is the same as any other Defense monster attacked. When they are attacking while in Defense Position, you merely apply their Defense Value as their Attack Value. This means that if you attack with a "Superheavy Samurai" into a monster with a higher attack than your monster's Defense, your monster gets destroyed ("Blue Brawler" is protected by its effect here, however). Also keep in mind that the "Apply Defense Value when attacking" Only applies when certain conditions are met. Like having "Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei" on the field. Do you have any other questions about this archetype? --LordGeovanni- (Talk To Me) *Kupo* 11:27, December 21, 2014 (UTC)
