I found this and it confirms that the new Samurai XYZ effect states 2000 atk
Well that's... anticlimactic. I'll be running Blade Armor Ninja and Heroic Champion - Excalibur over him. At least if it was 3000 he could be used to beat up REDMD two turns in a row. 108.196.206.15 (talk) 10:18, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
That pic was confirmed to be fake a few days ago.
Right now, there is still no exact effect known. I do know that it being 2000 makes the card useless outside of being able to get counters for Gateway.

Even if it's fake, we might as well accept the real one to be 2000 as well.... Like I've said in the other thread, 3000 ATK is just ridiculous...how can Shien power up another samurai to be stronger than himself? It makes no sense both gameplay-wise and also logic-wise. Yes but, Koitsu and Aitsu are level 10 and level 5 monsters respectively.

A 2000 ATK boost is still preety good, especially on a Kageki, Enishi or Kizan, who boost their own Attack via their effect, leaving Kageki on 3500, Kizan on 2300, and Enishi on 2500, all of which is an improvement (only Kageki;s being a notable improvement). It will still see some use, most likely only 1 copy, 2 if an OTK can be reliably made using multiples.
