Koji "the Spider" Nagumo, known as Stringer in the English Dungeon Dice Monsters video game, is a student gamer in Domino High School.
+
* With "Ultimate Offering" in play you can set this card at the end of your opponent's battle phase so that it can then be flipped at the start of your turn. Skipping the danger of having it on the field for a turn. Also if it gets flipped in the middle of battle you can also use Offering to tribute the monster you just took control of for a lv 5 or 6 monster.

Personality
Nagumo shows many of the traits of a typical Yu-Gi-Oh! villain. He is a gamer with interest in a variety of games, ranging from Monster Fighter to Duel Monsters. However, he is a mediocre player, only engaging in games to make money. He tends to focus purely on the potential resale value of desirable collectables (such as Monster Fighter figurines when they were popular, and Obelisk The Tormentor for its enormous scarcity value). Nagumo is also a bully, relying on his physical strength to win games when he is in danger of losing, and using his hobbies to lure in potential victims to extort with his strength.

Biography
Monster Fight
In the manga, Nagumo initially presents himself as a gamer, asking Yugi to play Monster Fighter with him while at Domino High School. While playing, Nagumo reveals that he has a "house rule" that he "forgot" to tell Yugi about; that the loser surrenders their gun and figure to the winner. He then tells Yugi, who is already shocked by this, hits Yugi and takes his gun and monster, Alti.

Later, it is shown that Nagumo's real goal is to take advantage of the "Monster Fighter" craze to make money, selling Yugi's "Alti" and other Monster Fighter figures and guns he's stolen at inflated prices to other students (¥30,000 each, or about $278 US at the time). Whenever he runs out of stock, he engages other students using his "house rule" to rebuild his inventory. Dark Yugi comes into his store and challenges Nagumo and his Wild Spider to a match with Katsuya Jonouchi's monster, Killer Emaada. At the start, Yugi warns Nagumo that their the game will be a Shadow Game. The first round is settled when Nagumo distracts himself planning to punch Yugi, allowing Yugi to knock out Wild Spider. As a result of the game's condition that the players take damage instead of their monsters, Nagumo's face was cracked by the punch. In the second set, Nagumo cheats by kicking Yugi in the side, allowing Wild Spider to land three intense blows to Killer Emaada (and Yugi's) torso for the win. Enraged, Dark Yugi intensifies his game, raising the "shadow mode" to level three. When Nagumo tries to cheat again in the third set, he finds his leg unable to move. As result of the intensified shadow game, his legs are held down by all of his stolen monsters– plus his now AWOL Wild Spider. Nagumo saw, to his horror, that the monster on his field was not "Wild Spider," but a twisted caricature of his soul, composed of Wild Spider's body with his own face and arms. Yugi then dealt the killing blow, piercing the representation of Nagumo's soul, purging it of the darkness while the real Nagumo is K.O.'ed.

Battle City
Nagumo makes a few brief appearances during the Battle City of the manga and the second series anime, apparently having recovered from his Shadow Game against Dark Yugi. After defeating a duelist, he is unhappy with the card he's won through the ante rule and demands that the loser give something of equal value to his card, "Hyozanryu" or else ¥100,000 (about $900 US at the time). (In the anime, he declares that one card isn't enough and demands that the Duelist give him the two rarest cards in his Deck.)

However, Mokuba appears and calls a foul for changing the ante and wagering money. Koji insults Mokuba (calling him "Junior" in the anime), but then Seto Kaiba appears, shocking Koji, and tells Koji off, saying that when he speaks rudely to Mokuba, he dishonors Kaiba and the Battle City tournament. In the manga, Seto tears up the "Hyozanryu" card, saying Koji was going to lose it anyway. He challenges him to a Duel, anteing a briefcase of rare cards and "Obelisk the Tormentor". He allows Koji to use the cards from the briefcase in the Duel, to compensate for "Hyozanryu", but says he will take them after he beats Koji. Koji, overconfident at his newly empowered deck, suffered a devastating defeat as Kaiba unleashed "Obelisk", and takes his Puzzle Cards. Koji is left traumatized by Obelisk's overwhelming power, and ended up screaming in terror as he relived the image of the God crushing him. In the anime, Kaiba may have taken the "Hyozanryu," as per the ante rules, as he is later seen using it himself, although in the manga he stated he had 36 other cards just like it, and it may have been his own copy.

During the Battle City finals, he is seen observing the fight between Yugi and Kaiba from television screen in Domino City, along with other notable duelists that have been eliminated from the tournament.

Pyramid of Light
During Yu-Gi-Oh! the Movie: Pyramid of Light, Koji was a bystander during Joey's duels in front of Domino High School at the beginning of the movie. His hair is brown in this appearance.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, he is listed in Axel Brodie's database of Domino High School students as Kouji Nagumo. Later, Koji's name is listed listed among the disappearing residents of Domino City as Trueman sent them to the World of Darkness.

It is not known what sort of Deck he used in detail, yet a few cards were shown after his Duel against Seto Kaiba, though it remains ambiguous if the cards scattered over the pavement were part of his normal card set or exclusively taken from Kaiba's briefcase.
