- This card can be searched by "Trap Trick", "Trap Track", "Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle", "Lilith, Lady of Lament", "Triple Tactics Thrust", "Angel of Blue Tears", "Farewelcome Labrynth", "Labrynth Set-Up", and other generic searchers.
- Since the card states that you can target any Monster on your opponent's side of the field, you could easily destroy the strongest Monster on their field, or even the attacking Monster itself with this effect, leveling out the playing field.
- When your opponent only has one very powerful Monster on the field, lay this Trap down after Synchro Summoning a moderately strong Synchro Monster, like "Junk Warrior", "Magical Android", or "Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth" to bait them into attacking. Then spring it when they attack and destroy the said strong Monster, possibly leaving them with only weaker Monsters.
- With the above combo, it would be wise to protect your Trap with other cards like "Dark Bribe", "Trap Jammer", etc, to negate any unwanted Spell/Trap removal cards.
- "Traptrix Atrax" can also be a help, as "Synchro Deflector" is a Normal Trap Card, thereby stopping any attempt to block or negate "Synchro Deflector" from working.
