Dark Duel Stories]]'' includes 106 unusable passcodes , most of them for cards which are not ~~used for cards~~ featured in-the game. Entering one of these passcodes produces the error message "Can't Record Password! Try a different password." ~~Nine~~ Four of these passcodes ~~have never been used~~ are for cards which are featured in the game ("[[Wall of Illusion]]", [[Neo the Magic Swordsman]]", "[[Man-Eating Treasure Chest]]", and "[[Sorcerer of the Doomed]]"); these passcodes are also listed as usable passcodes, and when entered, they award the card to the player. ''~~OCG~~[[Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist]]''/, the next video game in the [[Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (video game series)|''~~TCG~~Duel Monsters'' ~~or in other video games; the "Card" cell for~~ series]], features these four cards and nine others which have unusable passcodes ~~is blank~~ in ~~the below table~~''Dark Duel Stories''. ~~Some of the~~ 22 cards ~~associated~~ with ~~these~~ unusable passcodes were not ~~printed for many years~~ released in the ''[[OCG]]''/''[[TCG]]'' until after the release of ''Dark Duel Stories''(which was first released in Japan on July 13, ~~such as~~ 2000); four of the cards ("[[Mimicat]]", ~~which was~~ 2015; "[[Roulette Spider]]", 2015; "[[Dark Renewal]]", 2014; and "[[Anti-Magic Arrows]]", 2015) were first ~~printed~~ released over a decade later, and one card ("[[Beckon to Darkness]]") has never been released in the ''OCG''/''TCG''.
