Sonia is Rafael's sister who was killed on a ship with Julian and their parents by Dartz.
Background
After Rafael survived, he was devastated that his family was gone. But after his second duel with Yami Yugi, he was seen that she and the rest of her family was seen along with Rafael's guardians. When The Great Leviathan was destroyed, she was seen again with Julian and their parents and told him that they'll always be in his heart.
