This is the talk page for discussing the page, Star Eater.

Please try to

  • Be polite

  • Be welcoming

Legitimacy

Is this card real? No source was actually given to this cards' existence. It is entirely possible that someone just made this as a "troll" page. If anyone had proof it would be nice. (Diclonus (talkcontribs) 02:54, February 27, 2013 (UTC))

Believe me, we have a trusted source. This page is valid. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:01, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Got a screen for those of us that dont have an account with NAC? - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 03:40, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Why don't you make one, considering they're one of the major sources of Yu-Gi-Oh! information? Otherwise, don't question it.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 03:49, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Seriously getting tired of you being an almighty prick. I asked for a screen because I've been thinking this was a fake card because I've seen absolutely nothing beyond this page. Now if its so hard for you to give a screenshot, shut the fuck up and dont post. - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 03:53, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Do not ordering us what we are doing. We got it and we are doing it! --iFredCat 04:02, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
I'd just like to point out that this was over a request for a source. Not an order. Honestly I'm getting sick of a few people here, but Yami's pretty much brought things to a point where I will forget decorum and say exactly what I want to say. If its such a problem to provide a screen so someone can put their own doubts to rest, then someone better start reevaluating if they want to work on a wikia. - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 04:09, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
You throwing a tantrum doesn't change anything. I'm also getting sick of people doing this every time a new card is announced. If you want a screen, why don't you just sign up to the forum so you can see the information yourself? Why does someone else have to spoon-feed you the information? Why should we even give a crap about your doubts? The Wiki has no obligation to satisfy your doubts, especially when you can just as easily do it yourself. The card has been confirmed, that's why the capable people of this Wiki haven't taken it down or flagged it for deletion. You want your own personal proof? Get it yourself or shut up, no one cares about your doubts.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 04:20, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
LoL? I had tried to create an account on NAC, but i'm still waiting for the response since over a half year. --TheGallisMan 11:14, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
And FYI, I don't work for the Wikia, I volunteer to it, and the duties that I give myself as a volunteer don't include spoon-feeding busybodies information they can easily get themselves.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 04:21, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
That's not throwing a tantrum, that's reacting to a child acting immature. Kid, you're at Yugioh wiki. YUGIOH WIKI. You're not head of the goddamn world, so cut the attitude and stop treating people like shit. Seriously, how desperate are you to try and act better than others over THIS? I've seen people act like self-entitled fools over things like strength or money or authority, but over this? You're a laughable fool.FreelancerRaiko (talkcontribs) 07:23, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Halt that behavior, this is a Discussion article to prove that this is real or not - not an article that we can arguing who is a member or who is not. Shut up already and get on the topic immediately. Or suffering the wrath of TwoTailedFox! --iFredCat 13:30, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Hilarious that I'm being branded childish and immature after getting bombarded by derogatory terms by Axel for offering a simple suggestion, by someone who is also throwing out derogatory terms because they can't address the simple notion that this Wikia is not here to spoon-feed anyone. Once again, you have the ability to confirm the information, you choose not to. That is no one's problem but your own. Throw around simple insults all you want, do you think I care what a bunch of randoms think of me? Also, TheGallisMan, I don't know why that is because I was accepted fairly quickly when I registered.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 15:45, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Just to add, I just tried to register with a new account just for my own curiosity, and it registered me without a hitch. You don't even need to wait for the administrator to validate the account, so I have no idea why you've been having issues, TheGallisMan.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 16:00, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
FYI, that was ME calling you immature and childish. And honestly, it's the truth. Hey after all, you're the one treating yugioh wikia like super serious business. It's quite hilarious.75.64.186.8 (talk) 21:27, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Did I not make it clear that I don't give a crap what you think?--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 22:22, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ooook, let's everyone calm down here. I have the feeling this is closed by unofficial agreement already, but I'm going to say here what I said back on Utopia Ray Victory talk:

It's far ahead of the release date. Cool down. We have a month and a half to wait. That we're getting this information at all is a blessing; konami could simply keep mum and then people would be crying about not getting any information. Really, people.

Yamiwheeler and the others blow their brains out half a day for the sake of the wiki, mostly for the sake of controversial material like this. Cards like this are often their first priority in terms of verification; if they haven't gotten anything else, there usually isn't any. If anyone wants to complain, they can find it themselves. The internet and its free information is an equally free market. Don't want to look it up? Then please stop complaining. I see Yami taking fire here, and I saw Dino taking fire back on Utopia Ray Victory. They are trying their best for the sake of every person who wants every tidbit of yugioh information but is unwilling to go look at it for themselves. As Yami said: this is a volunteer effort. Every wikia like this is. You wanna complain to them? They can ditch the wikia without needing to think twice if they want. Why are they still here after all this slander and work? Because they love the wikia, if not necessarily all the people who read it, and bear with it to do what they love. If anyone has a problem with that, then I will personally say: please go find someone else to complain to. These people have work to do.

I would go look it up myself, but am a busy high school student. Therefore, I'm just going to wait patiently as Yami and co. dig up more information about this card. Anyone who does differently, have fun. I guarantee it will not be enjoyable or profitable. Aeron Solo wuz here (If you wanna talk) 19:16, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Oh sure When I want to talk about the card it gets deleted and its more important to continue the argument between to others over something silly - I see how it is. --108.225.20.64 (talk) 22:03, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Some of the comments get deleted because they aren't supposed to be here. These talk pages are meant to improve the pages and not to say random things; like: "I hope this card is this or that" or "is this card a evolution of this or that" And another example, my comment might get deleted because it doesn't have nothing to do with improving the page. So take this as another example. --~NS~ 22:08, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

I can agree with you on that NS but I thought a talk page is where everyone comes here and talks it out/ having their own opinion on the card, it's effect, good side, bad side and etc... but here the way they set it is dumb. I wont be to amazed if this and yours get the boot. --108.225.20.64 (talk) 22:16, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

This is a Discussion Article, not Forum. If you wanna throw out optional about this card, go to FORUM. Here is for improving the article and that's that! --iFredCat 23:03, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ok this is going on far enough. This is a useless argument as anon said earlier. From here on out, I am going to personally undo every single edit made henceforth that adds to this particular discussion whatsoever, no matter the editor, content, or purpose. Obviously we have strayed from the simple task of confirming a card's legitimacy to slandering each other. This is ridiculous, and unbecoming of all of us.

I may have no authority here, but I can still click the undo button as many times as I want. This particular discussion is closed. Any later legitimate posts about legitimacy will have to be made anew. Aeron Solo wuz here (If you wanna talk) 02:53, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

@ TheGallisman: For the couple of months, NAC's set up now that you activate your account from your own E-Mail. o_o If you're having trouble registering at this point, I'm unsure what would be causing it. -- NeoArkadia (talkcontribs) 14:01, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Card Rulings?

I use this card in combination with the Ancient Gear deck. What I need is an explanation of its skills, especially "When Special Summoned, card effects cannot be activated." Does it mean that after being Special Summoned no card effects can be activated unless it is destroyed or changed face-down or only lasts until its Special Summoning is completed? Help with this topic is very acceptable since no rulings page exists.--121.97.142.15 (talk) 15:39, April 24, 2013 (UTC)JudgmentBringer

You don't need rulings for this. It's similar to the Egyptian God cards, like "Obelisk the Tormentor". That sentence means only at the exact moment it is Special Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. However, "Solemn Warning", "Solemn Judgment", etc. can be activated, because "Celestial Dragon" has not technically been Summoned yet. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 15:58, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Mostly true, Kuriboh, except for the fact that the Solemns will not work either because Celestial Dragon's summon cannot be negated. But then, that's not totally relevant. Basically, what Kuriboh is saying is happening is thus:

1) You Synchro Celestial Dragon 2) Ordinarily, players have the option of activating card effects immediately following a monster's summon that does not start a chain. However, Celestial Dragon blocks this, so no Torrential Tribute, no Bottomless Trap Hole, no Raigeki Break targetting it to destroy it immediately. 3) Summon response card effect window ends. Cards and effects can be activated from here onwards without prohibition from Celestial Dragon. Aeron Solo wuz here (If you wanna talk) 17:34, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Attack negation regarding nerco gardna

Say Necro Gardna had used it's effect, removing its self to prevent the next attack, at any point during the opponents turn before star eater declared an attack would the attack be negated?

Star Eater: "If this card attacks, it is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Damage Step."

Necro: "negate the next attack this turn from a monster your opponent controls (this is a Quick Effect)."

Since necro gardna negates the next attack would it stop it declaring or attempting?

If necro gardna DOESN'T negate the attack does this count as the "next attack" meaning the monster afterwards would be able to attack or would monster have its attack negated? Donzaloog20 (talkcontribs) 13:48, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
