Hey, your contributions are great in the way of images, but they need to be named properly. See our [[image policy]] before you upload a whole bunch more, ok? You can look at the card galleries of card pages to see examples of how the images are named (just click on the picture to see its name). --[[User:UltimateKuriboh|UltimateKuriboh]] ([[User talk:UltimateKuriboh|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/UltimateKuriboh|contribs]]) 03:30, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I noticed that you're converting straight quotes and apostrophes to curved ones. I'm fairly sure this is just due to the font the cards use, not an actual different symbol. Notably, on the official card database all card names and lores use straight quotes. Please stop changing them. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 06:57, October 3, 2015 (UTC)
Shouldn't the japanese name just be a link that redirects you to the page?

Considering you avoid responding to people, please explain your recent edits regarding the removal of foreign names for rarities, unless you want your edits be reverted and you becoming subsequently banned if you continue doing so without stating any reason. Never mind the fact that your usage of the <nowiki>{{Infobox/Archetype}}</nowiki> on these pages is supposedly inappropriate. --[[User:UltimateKuriboh|UltimateKuriboh]] ([[User talk:UltimateKuriboh|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/UltimateKuriboh|contribs]]) 05:43, January 5, 2016 (UTC)

:I quite like the idea actually, but it is quite a bold change so perhaps it is best to discuss the idea first. I don't think the redirect is necessary but the translations work nicely alongside the card articles. --[[User:Spongebob456|Spongebob456]] ([[User talk:Spongebob456|Talk]]) 09:57, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

== Copy/paste moves ==

Please do not make copy paste moves, like you did [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Invader_of_Darkness?diff=2332188&oldid=2332138 here]. If you want a page to be moved but there is already a page in use, tag it with a {{t|rename}} template. That preserves the page's edit history. Thanks. --[[User:Golden Key|Golden Key]] ([[User talk:Golden Key|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Golden Key|contribs]]) 01:50, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

:Again, please do not copy page contents to rename the page, as you did with [[Light of Destruction]] and [[Light of Destruction (card)]]. In addition, in cases where your renames/moves would change the primary article for a given title (as happened here with "Light of Destruction"), the change should be discussed first to see if there is consensus for the swap. I've undone this move, and in the future will revert such moves without comment. Sorry if this seems a bit hard-line, but it seems something is necessary beyond just politely asking you to stop. If you have any questions or need help with it (or anything else! =) ), please feel free to ask me; I'd be more than happy to help. =) <span class="nowrap">「[[User:Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#00f;">ディノ</span><span style="color:#080;">奴</span>]][[Special:Contributions/Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#F90;">千?!</span>]]」[[wikipedia:Help:IJP|?]] · [[User talk:Dinoguy1000#top|☎ Dinoguy1000]]</span> 03:31, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

==Fire Fist page==

Hey there, I've seen your edit on the [[Fire Fist]] page and I was wondering what was the purpose of it. I just don't understand did you do, for example; I don't know why you change "Beast"/"Named after" to "Pun of..."/"...And". ==Spell/Trap Card images==

Hello. I see that you've uploaded some PNG images [[:File:Continuoussymbol.png|like this]]. Unfortunately, we cannot use them, because they too closely represent the artwork used on the card. The SVGs we use were designed from scratch to be approximations of the symbols; that way, we can claim that they, under fair use, are used as representations only of the image. Yours duplicate the image almost perfectly, and while I have to admire the work that has gone into them, we cannot use them.--[[w:c:YuGiOh:User:TwoTailedFox|TwoTailedFox]] ([[w:c:YuGiOh:User talk:TwoTailedFox|My Talk Page]]) 16:10, November 4, 2013 (UTC)

Hello

I saw all of you proxies and they are great! But can you please upload a more recent proxies for Fusion, Ritual and Synchro monsters? Please it will very help me :)

Thanks in advance--[[User:Liavcol|Liavcol]] ([[User talk:Liavcol|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Liavcol|contribs]]) 06:55, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

I just extracted them from the official Japanese rulebook version 1.1, which only contains proxies from series 7 for Fusion, Ritual and Synchro. The version 1.2 doesn't help with that: only monster card proxies can be extracted. Maybe we just wait til they release newer versions of the rulebook. lol[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Take Fumikô|contribs]]) 14:00, November 10, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Take Fumiko.

I wonder why you are not uploading any images anymore. I wanted to ask you for something: Can you please give me the source af all your proxies? Those are the finest on the web and they helped me alot... If not, can you just upload a proxy of a Pendulum monster please? --[[User:Liavcol|Liavcol]] ([[User talk:Liavcol|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Liavcol|contribs]]) 22:08, March 25, 2014 (UTC)

Hi Liavcol. Thank you for your request, for that made me check out and learn about a brand new type of monster. As I said in the previous thread, I extract the proxies from the official Japanese rulebook. I've just finished uploading everthing new from the latest rulebook. Glad to help you.[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Take Fumikô|contribs]]) 04:20, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for coming back :D Right after I wrote you I checked your talk page again and saw that I have already asked you that and you answerd. I wasn't reallt familiar with all this "talk" system, so sorry about that. I've looked at the new rulebook. But sadly, I couldn't find any high resolution images like the ones you have uploaded before :( Although I'm looking for a way to englare the images in such a way that I won't lose quality... Well, I hope the next rulebook will have much better pics for us...--[[User:Liavcol|Liavcol]] ([[User talk:Liavcol|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Liavcol|contribs]]) 18:22, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Actually, the Master Rule 2 v.1.1 includes the best-quality images (and of course, it is stored in the largest file, 5 times larger than each of the updated versions). I'm surprised that you couldn't find any high-res images: it should be noted that images are embedded in the PDF file, and you ought to find a way to extract them for best quality, not just to "take" pictures of the pages. I don't think there would be a better rulebook than the Master Rule 2 v.1.1.[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Take Fumikô|contribs]]) 03:23, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

From Photobucket. I don't really know what game it comes from, but I found really odd that an "Ancient Gear" with such a gun was once said to be left unedited (in other words, no Artworks page had been created), and it's necessary to proclaim the differences (there are differences, aren't there?). Sorry if this violates the forum policy. The TagForce artwork of "[[Teva]]" was added by me as well, from Photobucket. By the way, why would "Magician of Black Chaos" and "Amazoness Queen" not have their TagForce TCG artworks? == Uploading actual card images ==

When uploading real-life card images, please use the following in the "edit summary" when you upload them. If you forget to add it in for some reason, you can just edit the file page and put it in that way.

<pre><nowiki>{{TCG-OCG card image</nowiki>

| name    = Overlay Booster

| set    = LVAL

| region  = EN

| rarity  = C

| edition = 1E

}}</pre>

Replace the contents as needed, to correspond with the file name. If there is no "edition", as you may find for Chinese and Japanese cards, just remove the "edition" parameter entirely. It'd be appreciated if you could add this in for all the Chinese cards you just uploaded. --[[User:UltimateKuriboh|UltimateKuriboh]] ([[User talk:UltimateKuriboh|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/UltimateKuriboh|contribs]]) 12:12, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

:This is not a "suggestion." If you are uploading card images, you have a responsibility to be adding this template to those files. I noticed you skipped out on Korean images of "[[Creator of Hope]]" and "[[Legendary Dragon of White]]", the former of which I have added the template to. Please add the template to the latter, and try not to forget. --[[User:UltimateKuriboh|UltimateKuriboh]] ([[User talk:UltimateKuriboh|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/UltimateKuriboh|contribs]]) 04:43, May 28, 2014 (UTC)

I notice you're moving all those Korean packs. Normally, I would rename 1 pack at a time, since I would also be responsible for renaming all the instances where that pack name was used. So, that's quite a hefty workload you're putting on yourself, at a given time. --[[User:UltimateKuriboh|UltimateKuriboh]] ([[User talk:UltimateKuriboh|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/UltimateKuriboh|contribs]]) 08:28, June 4, 2014 (UTC)

::Basically, he's saying that when you move a page, it creates extra work that also has to be done: mostly, links pointing to the page need to be updated. Set pages are a bit more involved; in addition to links from navboxes, card pages, and other set pages, each set should have its own subpage from {{t|Set}}, which is used for card images from that set, which also needs updated (card images themselves shouldn't need edited or renamed). If you still have any questions, feel free to ask. <span class="nowrap">「[[User:Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#00f;">ディノ</span><span style="color:#080;">奴</span>]][[Special:Contributions/Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#F90;">千?!</span>]]」[[wikipedia:Help:IJP|?]] · [[User talk:Dinoguy1000#top|☎ Dinoguy1000]]</span> 13:44, June 4, 2014 (UTC)

::::No, I saw that you moved the Gallery/List pages already. I was talking about e.g. {{t|Set/MRL}}, for ''Magic Ruler''. Each set has its own subpage like that for {{t|Set}}, and the subpage has the set's page name and set abbreviation; when you rename a set page, you need to update the name on its {{t|Set}} subpage.

::::In addition, when a set page is renamed, links pointing to it from card pages need to be updated; as long as a redirect was left from the move, this is lower-priority and can be done gradually, but it does need to be done at some point. <span class="nowrap">「[[User:Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#00f;">ディノ</span><span style="color:#080;">奴</span>]][[Special:Contributions/Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#F90;">千?!</span>]]」[[wikipedia:Help:IJP|?]] · [[User talk:Dinoguy1000#top|☎ Dinoguy1000]]</span> 04:15, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

Specifically, you'll have to rename all instances where the pack name was used, as seen [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Promo_Pack_2013_Vol.3?limit=500 here], [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Promo_Pack_2012_Vol.2?limit=500 here], and [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Promo_Pack_2012_Vol.1?limit=500 here].<br>I'm also going to ask that you please rename (and afterwards rename the instances where they were used) the scans of the manga covers you [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Special:ListFiles/Take_Fumik%C3%B4 uploaded]. Generic, nondescript/confusing names such as "Image4.jpg", "Yu-gi-oh-manga-volume-17-double-72357.jpg" and "9782505019008-couv.jpg" are uncalled for. As Golden Key says below, .png versions are also preferred.  --[[User:UltimateKuriboh|UltimateKuriboh]] ([[User talk:UltimateKuriboh|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/UltimateKuriboh|contribs]]) 14:05, June 11, 2014 (UTC)

:Now that's weird. I remember having checked, for eg. "What pages link to Promo Pack 2012 Vol.1" but I got nothing. Has the check funtion ever malfunctioned? And let's be clear for the last time: is what you mean that ALL image files posted to the Wikia need to be PNGs, not just card image files? If so, I think this condition should be added to the Image policy.<span style="color:purple">[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] (バカアキ) ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]])</span> 04:50, June 12, 2014 (UTC)

== Reformatting ==

Stop unilaterally reformatting articles without discussion, as you have been doing to archseries pages, and as you did to various terminology pages before them. These types of changes need to be discussed, to be sure the rest of the community is fine with them, and to allow others to provide their own input, in case they have better ideas or in case your ideas for reformatting are based on flawed assumptions. For example, your addition of the Chinese name to article ledes is unwarranted and suggests that they are more important than they actually are; in the case of archseries pages, only the English and Japanese names are shown in the lede because these are the only languages with any significance for determining archetype membership in English. Instead, the Chinese names should have been added via the <code>other_names</code> parameter in {{t|Infobox archseries}}; as it is, I've added dedicated <code>zh_name</code>, <code>zh_pinyin</code>, and <code>zh_trans</code> parameters for the Chinese name, its pinyin transliteration, and its translation into English, respectively.

That being said, note that the language-specific parameters in the archseries infobox are intended specifically for cases where the archseries' name in that language has been confirmed by a real-life card being printed; other official names should make use of the anime- or manga-specific parameters, if they're implemented, or of the <code>other_names</code> parameter, and unofficial names should not be included at all. (Obviously, this should be adjusted as necessary to suit anime-, manga-, and video game-exclusive archseries.) <span class="nowrap">「[[User:Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#00f;">ディノ</span><span style="color:#080;">奴</span>]][[Special:Contributions/Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#F90;">千?!</span>]]」[[wikipedia:Help:IJP|?]] · [[User talk:Dinoguy1000#top|☎ Dinoguy1000]]</span> 18:39, June 25, 2014 (UTC)

:I'm not sure what you are saying here. What do you mean "reformatting"? I added Chinese names that way because there were NO parameters for them, for crying out loud. I did report this on the Admin noticeboard and was waiting forever for any discussion. My experiences on discussion pages haven't been very good: Most of them wait for EVER to be responded. I've not been sure if anyone at all would be interested in discussing with me about this kind of things. I guessed I just have to do what I think is right and proper. When I saw a new parameter added to the Infobox/Archetype/ExtendedName table, I DID several "reformattings" to make them not look so "important" (but actually they are, aren't they? They are terms, for crying out loud.) I think some folks are not qualified at all to provide informations (because those are OBVIOUSLY wrong; I don't need to speak Japanese or Korean to know there is no romanization supports "jyo", "jj", "cch", "elrimenteul"), but still their ideas have been accepted for a long long time, and nobody's been doing anything about that. Made-up terms and names can still be published and accepted publicly (I can't count on this Wikia in regard to these, and always have to re-check by myself). I don't think my work is any bigger a deal than all those things. And trust me, I DID a hell lot of examination, not just made up the terms. Do I even have to specify what cards or what part of the cards I had examined to show you the terms I added is confirmed?<span style="color:purple">[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] (バカアキ) ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]])</span> 01:18, June 26, 2014 (UTC)

:::For God's sake!! I ain't ever unbold no Japanese names!! I unbolded some stupid translations!! I don't know what he meant, but I'm pretty sure he didn't mean what you mean. And what is "lede" anyway?<span style="color:purple">[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] (バカアキ) ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]])</span> 03:57, June 26, 2014 (UTC)

::::(edit conflict) "Reformatting" perhaps wasn't the best word to use, it's just the one that popped in my head and I couldn't think of a better one to use, but I was definitely talking about the changes cheesedude pointed out. And "[[wikipedia:lede|lede]]" is an alternate spelling for "lead" used in the publishing industry, to help disambiguate the meaning of an article's opening paragraph or sentence from other potential meanings of "lead". And the admin noticeboard should be used to report things that require admin attention, such as a vandal who needs blocked, it should not be used for general content-related discussion.

::::I'll grant you that discussion pages may not receive the attention they deserve, and certainly not from me; I usually keep track of stuff via email notifications, and when I fall behind, it's easy for stuff to slip through the cracks for me. If you start a discussion that isn't getting any attention even after a few days, and you feel it's important enough, you shouldn't hesitate to leave a note on an active admin's talk page, and if needed, we'll point the other admins and other editors at it after having a look ourselves.

::::As I said in my opening comment, the correct parameter to use at first was <code>other_names</code>; if you weren't sure, you could have asked me and I would have told you as much. It doesn't help that {{t|Infobox archseries}} has no documentation written up yet; that's as much my fault as anyone's (especially since I'm the one that wrote the template), but it's no excuse for not at least asking to make sure. Remember, when you're doing this type of editing, ''especially'' when you're doing so across a large number of articles, the onus is on you to ensure you're doing so correctly.

::::I can't comment on what romanizations are or aren't valid, generally speaking; I have no formal linguistic education beyond English (unsurprisingly, given it's my native language) and three years of high school Spanish. I will note, though, that there are a multitude of romanization systems that have been used for Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (especially Chinese), and an incorrect construction in one such system could well be a common sight in another. That being said, romanizations are not as important to us to have "correct" as the terms themselves and, if provided, their translations; transliterations are generally only intended to be a pronunciation guide for readers unfamiliar with the language, so a technically incorrect transliteration that still allows a reader to deduce a reasonably close approximation of the correct pronunciation is still preferable to no transliteration at all. And as I have explained to you before, we have never performed an exhaustive review of the romanization system we use on-wiki for Japanese (though it is ostensibly supposed to be the same modified Hepburn system as used on Wikipedia), nor have we adequately explained the romanization we've settled on for Korean ([[wikipedia:Revised Romanization|Revised Romanization]]), to say nothing of Chinese (we use pinyin currently, but that doesn't really say much since there're several variants, and there are other romanization systems in widespread use that we may also want to look at), so simply labeling a given romanization as incorrect without providing an explanation as to why it's wrong doesn't benefit anyone.

::::And this is the English wiki; while we're definitely interested in documenting all official translations of various terms and names, the two languages we're most concerned with always have been, and always will be, English and Japanese. So from the perspective of the wiki, absolutely, non-English/-Japanese terms are not as important as English/Japanese terms, and should not be treated as though they are. <span class="nowrap">「[[User:Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#00f;">ディノ</span><span style="color:#080;">奴</span>]][[Special:Contributions/Dinoguy1000|<span style="color:#F90;">千?!</span>]]」[[wikipedia:Help:IJP|?]] · [[User talk:Dinoguy1000#top|☎ Dinoguy1000]]</span> 04:03, June 26, 2014 (UTC)

:::::Next time I'll be asking you guys what is "proper" (???) before doing any "formatting".

:::::I think you are so unreasonable regarding the importance of non-English/Japanese terms. If you try to provide information, you'd better at least provide the '''accurate''' thing. If you think non-English/Japanese terms are not important and needn't be accurate, you shouldn't provide them in the first place. That would be something non-English/Japanese Wikias do, where they are responsible for what they publish in their own languages. I wouldn't ever go search around a source information like Wikia for anything wrong. What you're saying makes me think this Wikia is getting more and more unreliable. I know Wikias are open, but I never thought that came with unreliable. I'd better treat them more seriously and more carefully.<span style="color:purple">[[User:Take Fumikô|Take Fumikô]] (バカアキ) ([[User talk:Take Fumikô|talk]])</span> 04:23, June 26, 2014 (UTC)

Quotation marks and apostrophes[edit]

I noticed that you're converting straight quotes and apostrophes to curved ones. I'm fairly sure this is just due to the font the cards use, not an actual different symbol. Notably, on the official card database all card names and lores use straight quotes. Please stop changing them. --SnorlaxMonster 06:57, October 3, 2015 (UTC)

Rarities[edit]

Considering you avoid responding to people, please explain your recent edits regarding the removal of foreign names for rarities, unless you want your edits be reverted and you becoming subsequently banned if you continue doing so without stating any reason. Never mind the fact that your usage of the {{Infobox/Archetype}} on these pages is supposedly inappropriate. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:43, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
