Q&A Rulings
- Q: I activate the effect of "Centerfrog" and give control of it to my opponent, and as a result, the monsters in my opponent's Main Monster Zones are "Centerfrog", "Ghost Beef", "Mild Turkey", and "Centerfrog" in a line. In this case, do I gain control of both "Ghost Beef" and "Mild Turkey"?
- A: In this scenario, since there are 2 monsters in between the 2 copies of "Centerfrog", the effect of "Centerfrog" will take control of both of those monsters.[1][2]
- Q: When taking control of my opponent's monsters with the effect of "Centerfrog", do I also gain control of my opponent's monster(s) in the Extra Monster Zones?
- A: The effect of "Centerfrog" takes control of your opponent's monsters that are present in the Main Monster Zones between the 2 copies of "Centerfrog". You do not get control of monsters in the Extra Monster Zone.[3][2]
- Q: When I activate the effect of "Centerfrog" that switches its control to my opponent's field, but my opponent chains "Enemy Controller" and changes that "Centerfrog" to Attack Position, what happens?
- A: When resolving the effect of "Centerfrog", if that "Centerfrog" has been changed to face-up Attack Position, you cannot apply the effect to "give control of this Defense Position card to your opponent", so it remains in your Monster Zone. (The part of the effect that takes control of your opponent's monsters also cannot be applied.)[4][5]
