Q&A Rulings
- Q: If I activate "F.A. Circuit Grand Prix", and chain "Call of the Haunted" and Special Summon "F.A. Sonic Meister" from the Graveyard, can I then activate the effect of "F.A. Sonic Meister" that increases its Level?
- A: The effect of "F.A. Sonic Meister" that increases its Level can be activated after an “F.A.” Spell/Trap Card is activated while it is face-up in the Monster Zone. Therefore, in this scenario, since "F.A. Sonic Meister" is not face-up in the Monster Zone when "F.A. Circuit Grand Prix" is activated, you cannot activate its effect.[2]
- Q: I activate an "F.A. Circuit Grand Prix" from my Deck with the effect of "Metaverse". At this time, can I activate the effect of "F.A. Sonic Meister" that increases its Level?
- A: If you activate an “F.A.” Field Spell Card when resolving the effect of "Metaverse", you cannot activate the effect of "F.A. Sonic Meister" that increases its Level.[3]
- Q: "F.A. Sonic Meister" is face-up in my Monster Zone, and its Level has increased to 5 due to its own effect. In this situation, if I activate the effect of "Marshalling Field" and declare Level 9, what happens to the Level of "F.A. Sonic Meister"?
- A: In this scenario, since the effect of "Marshalling Field" was activated by declaring Level 9, "F.A. Sonic Meister" becomes Level 9. Off-Road Grand Prix". Afterward, even if you proceed to your Battle Phase, since the Level has become 9 due to the effect of "Marshalling Field", the effect of "F.A. Off-Road Grand Prix" is not being factored, which means the Level is not reduced by 2. After that, if you proceed to Main Phase 2, the effect of "F.A. Off-Road Grand Prix" is applied again, and "F.A. - Q: My Level 7 "F.A. Sonic Meister" declares a second attack due to its effect. During the Battle Step, if my opponent activates "Star Changer" and reduces its Level to 6, what happens to the attack?
- A: If "F.A. Sonic Meister" attacks a second time using its effect, but becomes Level 6 or lower during that Battle Step, the second attack can no longer continue, so it ends and damage calculation is not performed. Even if that "F.A. Sonic Meister" becomes Level 7 or higher again during the Battle Phase, it cannot attack again.[7]
