OCG Rulings
- The effect of this card that Special Summons it from your hand is an Ignition Effect that activates in your hand. (It does not target. Revealing a “Photon” monster in your hand is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- The effect resolves by Special Summoning this card from your hand. (Changing this card’s Level is part of the same effect and is applied immediately.)[1]

Q&A Rulings
- Q: When activating the effect of "Galaxy Brave" that Special Summons it from my hand, can I reveal a Level 8 "Photon" monster such as "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon"?
- A: When you reveal a "Photon" monster in your hand to activate the effect of "Galaxy Brave", you can choose "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". In that case, since "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" is Level 8, the Level of the Special Summoned "Galaxy Brave" does not change.[2]
- Q: My opponent's "Evilswarm Ophion" with Xyz Material is face-up in the Extra Monster Zone. In this situation, can I activate the effect of "Galaxy Brave" that Special Summons it from my hand?
- A: In this scenario, you cannot Special Summon Level 5 or higher monsters due to the effect of "Evilswarm Ophion". Since "Galaxy Brave" is a Level 8 monster in your hand, you cannot activate its effect while the effect of "Evilswarm Ophion" is applying.[3]
- Q: I activate the effect of "Galaxy Brave" that Special Summons it from my hand, by revealing a "Photon Vanisher" in my hand. If my opponent chains "Mind Crush" and declares the name of "Photon Vanisher", so that "Photon Vanisher" is discarded from my hand, what happens?

- Q: When I Normal or Special Summon "Galaxy Brave", I activate its effect targeting "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in my Graveyard. If my opponent chains the effect of their "D.D. Crow" and banishes that "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", how does the effect of "Galaxy Brave" resolve?
- A: In this scenario, if the monster targeted by the effect of "Galaxy Brave" is no longer in your Graveyard when the effect resolves, the effect is not applied. (The ATK/DEF of Galaxy Brave both remain 0.)[6]
