OCG Rulings

  • This card cannot be Fusion Summoned with effects such as "Polymerization". It can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by the procedure written in its text. (Special Summoning this card with this procedure does not start a Chain.)[1]
  • If this card is sent to the GY after it was successfully Special Summoned by its own procedure, you can then Special Summon it from the GY with "Monster Reborn", etc.[1]
  • This card's effect that negates the activation of your opponent's monster effects is a Quick Effect. (It does not target. It can be activated by chaining directly to the activation of an opponent's monster effect, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
  • This card's effect that allows you to choose the attack targets for your opponent's attacks is a Continuous Effect.[1]
  • This card's effect that Special Summons a "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. Returning this card to the Extra Deck is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
  • Even if "Gladiator Beast Domitianus" battles during your opponent's turn, you can activate its effect at the end of your opponent's Battle Phase.[1]

Q&A Rulings

A: In this scenario, the effect of your opponent's "Gladiator Beast Domitianus" allows them to choose your attack targets. (This effect is applied normally when "Blackwing Full Armor Master" declares an attack.) Firstly, you choose whether or not you will declare an attack with "Blackwing Full Armor Master" during this Battle Phase. (The effect of "Gladiator Beast Domitianus" does not force you to declare an attack.) When you declare the attack with "Blackwing Full Armor Master", your opponent chooses which monster will be attacked using the effect of "Gladiator Beast Domitianus".[2][3]
