OCG Rulings
- You can activate this face-down card (without activating its effect) at any time except during the Damage Step.[1]
- This card's effect that performs a coin toss starts a Chain. (It does not target, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- You can activate this face-down card and this effect as part of the same Chain Link. (Only in this case can you activate this face-down card during the Damage Step.)[1]
- Negating the activation of the activated monster effect and changing control of that monster happen simultaneously.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: During my Battle Phase, when my opponent activates the effect of "Time Thief Chronocorder" by Tributing it, can I chain the effect of "Head Judging"?
- A: You can still activate the effect of "Head Judging" by chaining to the effect of your opponent's "Time Thief Chronocorder" that was activated by Tributing it. If your opponent calls the coin toss correctly, "Head Judging" is sent to the GY as usual. If they call incorrectly, the activation of "Time Thief Chronocorder's" effect is negated, but since it is no longer in the Monster Zone, the effect that changes its control does not apply.[2][3]
